LEAD SAFE PAINTS

LEAD SAFE PAINTS In pursuance of our vision of contributing positively to the society, Sustainable Stewardship Private Limited acquired accreditation as a certification body as per the requirements of VCSLSP scheme, formally known as “VOLUNTARY CERTIFICATION SVHEME FOR LEAD SAFE PAINTS”. The scheme is a joint initiative of IPEN + QCI and lays a focused emphasis on regulating the content of lead in paints to a maximum limit of 90ppm.

Lead is a well-known neurotoxin and is known to damage, destroy or impair the functioning of the human nervous system especially children below 6 years of age.

The “Voluntary certification scheme for Lead safe paints” drives to developing and complying with a manufacturer defined internal quality assessment plan and the requirements of scheme. The samples are independently tested to arrive at a reliable information about the content of Lead in the paints which forms the basis of the certification decision.

In our endeavor to provide a platform for likeminded stake holders and paint manufacturing companies, Sustainable Stewardship Private Limited is proud to be the first and currently the only certification body in India that is accredited to carry out third party certification and thereby facilitate a compliant manufacturer not only with validated process control but also enabling them to use VCSLSP certification mark, which provides an un-precedential visibility to the paints. On the other hand the use of lead safe logo helps in generating awareness amongst the end users and acts as a jump board to pushing the brand image as the one which has the safety of its customers as a prime concern.

PRINTING & PACKAGING

UGRA UGRA Company PSO Certification

Ugra certifies printing and prepress companies according to PSO. PSO means Process Standard Offset, which is a description of all requirements for each single step in the printing work flow. The application of PSO in a printing company helps to facilitate the communication, to achieve a better quality, to have a greener production and in the end have more success.

The Ugra certification is accomplished in a one-day audit. The company, which is to be certified must show in the following functions, that it complies with the standards, that the devices are calibrated, the standard operation procedures (SOP) are available and followed and the aim values are reached within the given tolerances.

Documentation
The single work procedures must be described with standard operation procedures (SOP). Technical and organizational issues are described in the SOPs. In addition chapters for the training of the employees and the material receipt control are to be defined.

Data Reception
The data reception is accomplished in three interview with a sales representative, an order manager and a prepress operator. All interviewees have to know, which data can be processed in which way. Furthermore they have to know the used ISO standards.

Data Creation
At the data creation, the correct images from the received data should be selected and thus a test page has to be created, from which a PDF according to the requirements of PDF/X has to be provided. With this test the company show its know-how about color-management, layout creation and PDF/X.

Display
At least one display in the company has to be set up according to the guidelines (ISO 12646) and calibrated correctly.

Digital Proofing
At proofing the 8 pages of the "Visual PRINT Reference" are printed. From these pages the Ugra/ Fogra Media Wedge will be measured. The resulting values must lie within the required tolerances of ISO 12647-7

Printing Plate Production
At the printing plate production it is determined whether it is correctly documented and organized in the context of a Quality Management System (ISO 9000). The operator has to proof its knowledge about plate making. Furthermore the uniformity and the register of the plate production are tested.

Printing
The used material is controlled. Then the make-ready procedure is observed. A scanning color measuring device must be in place. The printing must take place according to ISO 12647-2. This is examined by printing an order of 2000 prints. As test form the VPR is used.

Illumination
The standard illumination must fulfill the ISO 3664.

Further
Besides these main points many further things are judged. Companies interested in the certification, may ask Ugra for a detailed description of the demanded values and the further evaluations.

Since many points outside of standards are judged, for which no strict aim values are available, a system of evaluation was developed. If all requirements in a category are fulfilled, a rating of 100 points is given. To achieve the certification, the audit must result in a rating of over 80 points. With a rating between 60 and 80 points, single functions must be re-audited. With a rating below 60 points the complete certification process must be repeated.

If the company fulfills the requirements it receives the certificate and is listed on the Ugra Website as a certified company. The certificate is valid for two years.

FOOD & FEED

Non-GMO Non GMO Certification

Selling food and/or feed that is non-genetically modified (non-GMO) places the burden of proof on the supply chain. Our Non-GMO Supply Chain Standard helps organisations, irrespective of type or size, to supply verifiably non-GMO product. The scope of certification can extend from a single actor in the supply chain, a few or even the whole production process.

What does the certification standard cover?

From the seed, through the growing process and harvest, transportation, collection, storing and processing to the market channel, we offer independent certification of the quality management systems. Certification also includes the verification of legal requirements relating to the labelling and traceability of GMOs.

Based on EU regulations concerning non-GMO, including Directive 2001/18/EC and regulations 1829/2003 and 1830/2003, our standard can be applied to all processes in the supply chain:

  • Seed supply
  • Farming
  • Trading
  • Processing
As well as services to the supply chain:
  • Storage
  • Transport
  • Sampling and analysis

Operators achieving certification will be subject to annual surveillance audits to ensure that compliance is maintained.

Non-GMO supply chain certification does not replace compliance with national and international regulations.

Non Biome Supply Chain

Demand for agricultural products has caused excessive deforestation in the biome, increasing carbon emissions and damage to biodiversity. As a result, in 2006, it was agreed amongst some organisations not to trade soybeans produced within the Brazilian Biome, an agreement which has been renewed annually ever since. Our Non Biome Supply Chain Certification makes sure the soybeans are sourced in the Non Biome area. Organisations trading in soybeans of Brazilian origin can now verify their legitimacy.

Non Amazon biome supply chain certification does not replace compliance with national and international regulations.

COMPLAINTS HANDLING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

ISO 10002 Certification

ISO 10002 Complaints Handling Management Systems: Effective management of claims and customer satisfaction

The Standard ISO 10002 establishes a series of guidelines that must be followed by any organisation that wishes to introduce a Complaints Handling Management System. The standard establishes a PDCA cycle during development and gives instructions on planning, design, operation, maintenance and improvement of the complaint handling process.

As a result of implementing the Standard ISO 10002 in a company, a user or customer can not only report a complaint or claim regarding their products or services, but also kept informed of the status of their claim throughout. In addition, the user or client knows that his/her complaint or claim will be analysed and investigated thoroughly and that a coherent response will always be provided within the established time. If the client is still not fully satisfied with the response obtained, he/she will be offered other channels through which the complaint can be submitted, until a satisfactory response is received.

Benefits of the Complaints Handling certification:

  • A management system to continuously monitor and improve the complaints handling process is established.
  • An organisation becomes more flexible in its handling of complaints. A logical system is obtained that permits a client-organisation relationship.
  • An organisation can develop the actions that improve operations, including anticipating possible changes in trends and heading off possible motives for complaints.
  • A foundation is developed for ongoing improvement using monitoring systems and the analysis of processes involved in complaints management and the methods used to rectify them.
  • An effective, simple and decisive mechanism is developed for managing issues with clients.
